The HR Assistant will handle a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and provide clerical support to the HR Manager and employees regarding HR related activities, processes, and procedures. If you can reasonably commute to the downtown Huntsville, AL, area, we encourage you to apply.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain strictest confidentiality of all Corporate and Human Resources information.
2. Performs general clerical duties, consistent with the personnel function.
3. Submits job postings, sources candidates for open positions, and coordinates communication with candidates.
4. Responds to reference checks and verification of employment.
5. Maintains orientation and separation packets.
6. Prepares employee ID badges.
7. Maintains accurate personnel records (hard and electronic versions).
8. Follows organization's Document Retention & Destruction Policy.
9. Assists with Benefits Administration, filing of workman's compensation reports, and exit interviews.
10. Orders department supplies and maintains inventory.
11. Records Human Resources actions by completing forms, logs, and other records.
12. Assists with other projects.
13. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required Health Records Documentation: Proof of current Hepatitis B vaccination; negative TB skin test performed within the past 12 months or negative chest x-ray and no evidence of symptoms or completion of treatment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (optional). Annual Flu vaccination is required. A physical will be required if hired. CNAHSI is a Drug Free and Smoke Free workplace.
